1 suffers severe personal injury after car accident

Families across the nation are considering what their travel arrangements will be during the upcoming holiday. There are relatives to visit, shopping to do and places to visit. However, accidents are not limited to the holiday season. There was at least one severe personal injury suffered in a recent New Jersey car accident.

At around 12:30 p.m., local police, the fire department, a rescue team and medical personnel responded to reports of a crash involving three vehicles at an intersection on Route 31. The accident occurred when one of the vehicles that was attempting to make a left turn was struck by a southbound vehicle. This initial crash caused the vehicle that crashed into the turning vehicle to crash into a third car, which was also attempting to turn left.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they saw that the driver of the third vehicle was severely injured. She was airlifted to Capital Health Hospital. Authorities also saw that the accident had caused oil as well as debris from the crash to be scattered around, which slowed the cleanup process. As of now, the crash is still under investigation.

Drivers who are following traffic laws or who seem to be a safe distance from other drivers are still at risk of being involved in an accident. It only takes a few seconds for another driver to make a mistake, which results in the injury or death of another driver. Victims of car accidents in New Jersey who have suffered a personal injury could benefit from speaking with an attorney about the compensation to which they may be entitled. This compensation may be used to pay for medical bills, property damages or funeral costs if needed.
